New recruits lead the Cucina Fresca Charge in March - March 18, 2009
Cucina Fresca, led by the Cat 4 womens team is putting up impressive results in the first month of racing. Both Jessica and Lucy Cutler have been consistantly in the top 5 for the ladies 4's in nearly every race and are looking to upgrade soon. For the mens 4, Matt Heck took 2nd last weekend at Mason Lake with the help of a few of his team mates. Look to these folks for more results in the near future!

Team Cucina Fresca announces new sponsors for 2009. - March 18, 2009
Team Cucina Fresca is proud to be working with a couple of great new sponsors for 2009. Velo Vie and Wentzel Coaching join the other long time sponsors for Team Cucina Fresca. Velo Vie, manufacturer of high end carbon fiber bike frames, was a simple choice for the team according to Travis Dykstra who states "...it was a unanimous choice after several of us test rode this bike. Nice and stiff when climbing and sprinting and yet doesn't beat you up on the longer rides, this bike gives the rider the confidence to ride fast and push the limits. In addition to that, co-founder Dan Barnes really took his time ensuring that every team member that ordered a bike received first class service!"

Also for 2009, Wenzel Coaching, was brought to the team via team member, Earl Zimmerman. Earl Zimmerman is a licensed Level II USA Cycling and Road Runners Club of America (RRCA) coach who works for Wenzel Coaching. Says Travis Dykstra, "We've been very happy with the Craig and the coaches at Cycle U but having a coach on the team is a great asset that we've wanted for some time. Earl has really stepped up to the plate to ensure that our guys are getting the info they need to set up a successful training plan to help them achieve their goals. I'm really excited to see the results for 2009."
